About Staff Selection Commission Recruitment:

SSC {Staff Selection Commission} is an Organization under the Government of India and also It recruits the staff for various posts in various ministries and certain departments of Government of India.

SSC CHSL means Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level(10+2). It is a secondary level exam. 12th passed students are eligible for the SSC CHSL. SSC Recruits thousands of vacancies  Every year in Government departments. Govt.

This commission is attached to the Department of Personnel and Training. On 4 November 1975 Government of India constituted  Subordinate  Service Commission and also On 26th September 1977, this Subordinate Service Commission is renamed as Staff Selection Commission.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL, 10+2) Exam for recruiting to various posts like:

  • Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants(PA/SA)
  • Data Entry Operator (DEO).
  • Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC) and also
  • Court Clerk.

SSC JE conducts a three-tier examination:

  1. Objective – Tier I
  2. Descriptive – Tier II and also
  3. Skill-based -Tier III

If the candidate wants to join in SSC CHSL must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 27 years as on 01-08-2015. In this Recruitment, There are relaxations for various categories such as Defence Personnel, SC/ST, etc.

Candidates have to complete 12th passed students are eligible for the SSC CHSL

Scheme of Exam:

The exam will consist of a

  • Written Examination and also Skill Test for the post of DEO and
  • Written Test and Typing Test for the post of PA/ SA & LDC on Computer.

Scheme of Exam:

SSC CHSL 2019 conducts the exam in Three Phases.

  • Tier 1: Computer-Based Written Exam (Objective Type)
  • 2Tier 2: Written Exam (Descriptive Paper)
  • Tier 3: Typing Test/Skill Test

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern:

  • Tier 1 Consists of 100 Questions of 200 Marks and this test is an objective type

Tier 2:

Tier 3:
  • Those who qualified will enter Tier 3 will be a Skill Test/Typing Test.
  • Typing Test is only for candidates applying for Data Entry Operator (DEO).

Typing Test:

  • English – Typing speed Should be 35 words per minute.
  • Hindi – Typing speed Should be 30 words per minute is mandatory.

This test is for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC, and Court Clerk posts.

Skill Test:

The skill test is based on the Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour. The skill test is conducted for Data Entry Operator post. Speed of 15000 key depression per hour is required For DEO in C&AG office. Duration of the test is 15 minutes.


General Intelligence:

Arithmetical Computation, Space Visualization, Problem Solving, Observation, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory,  Relationship Concepts, Similarities and Differences, Figure Classification,  Non-Verbal Series, Analytical Functions, Arithmetical Number Series, etc

General Awareness:

Questions will be set to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness about the world around him and of the political environment of the country. This test includes questions on current events and India’s recent economic and social policies.  Apart from that, candidates should cover the following topics: Indian Constitution, Booker, and Nationa, Booker, Award Winning Books, History, Culture, Awards and Honors, Current Affairs, Science – Inventions & Discoveries. Important Financial & Economic News

Quantitative Aptitude:

Decimals and Fractions, Time And Distance, Relationship between Numbers, Number Systems, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Time and Work, Computation of Whole Numbers, Use Of Tables and Graphs, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount,  Mensuration,  Ratio and Time,  etc.

English Language:

Candidates will be tested on their understanding of the Basics of English Language,  Sentence structure, Vocabulary,  Antonyms, Grammar,  Synonyms,  and its correct usage, etc. and also candidates will be tested on his/her writing ability.
